DSL remote line transformers are used for transmission and overvoltage protection of DSL modems.
The use of transformers specially adapted to the requirements of DSL transmission ensures galvanic isolation of the modems from the copper line, providing reliable protection up to 6 kV.
In contrast to a fuse-based system, even lower voltages below 10V are kept away from the downstream modems.
Overvoltage can be discharged to ground via a coarse protection.
The modem, as well as the transmission side can be connected either via RJ-45 or screw connection.
The DSL-FLÜ is available in two different versions:
DSL-FLÜ-02-02 for 2-wire applications with 10mH chokes
DSL-FLÜ-02-04 for 4-wire applications (now new!) with 56mH chokes for a lower signal-to-noise ratio.
