With the DSR-214-L LTE/UMTS router, inaccessible or mobile outstations that have no access to the telephone network or ADSL can be integrated into central networks. Access is wireless via the GSM/UMTS or LTE network, which is available worldwide. Using LTE, speeds of up to 100Mbit/s in the downlink and 50Mbit/s in the uplink are theoretically possible.

Secure connections can be established between your outstations and your control center using VPN. The “Dual SIM” function ensures a fail-safe connection. In addition, the VRRP protocol enables redundant connection of the outstations via 2 different routers. A restart of the device is possible remotely via SMS, by phone call or by timer.

The DSR-214-L is used for monitoring water, gas and electricity networks, for secure data transmission for POS terminals and ATMs, video and media transmission (digital signals) and remote maintenance of vending machines and other industrial machinery, equipment and devices.

If LTE is not available, the router’s backward compatibility with UMTS, GPRS and EDGE data services in 3G/GSM networks provides maximum availability.
Thanks to the integrated Ethernet interface, Ethernet-based systems can be connected to the Internet quickly and easily.

The LTE router is also equipped with RS-232 or RS-485 port. These interfaces can be used to connect serial terminals as a modem or VirtualCOM port.
