With the 5G Router DSR-514-5G, inaccessible or mobile outstations that do not have access to the telephone network or ADSL can be integrated into central networks. Access is wireless via the 5G or LTE network. Using 5G, speeds of up to 500 Mbit/s in the downlink and 150 Mbit/s in the uplink are theoretically possible.
5G is the first mobile communications generation to enable data transmission at maximum speeds with low latencies and simultaneous networking of many devices. This means that the Internet of Things (IoT) is also becoming a reality for CRITIS operators thanks to the 5G standard.
Using VPN, secure connections can be established between your outstations and your control center. The “Dual SIM” function ensures a fail-safe connection.
The DSR-514-G is used for monitoring water, gas and electricity networks, for the secure transmission of data for POS terminals and ATMs, video and media transmission (digital signals) and remote maintenance of vending machines and other industrial machinery, plant and equipment.
If no 5G network is available, the router’s backward compatibility with the LTE and UMTS data services networks offers maximum availability.
Thanks to the integrated Ethernet interface, Ethernet-based systems can be connected to the Internet quickly and easily.
