The FRM220-FXO/FXS media converters can be used to connect analog telephones to a PBX or directly via FO.
The converters are used as a pair and are connected to the copper connection via an RJ-11C connector.
In FXO mode, the converter simulates a telephone and is connected to a PBX via copper.
In FXS mode, the converter acts like a telephone system and is connected directly to the telephone terminal.
When the FRM220-FXO/FXS is used together with the 19-inch rack and a network management card, the devices can be monitored and configured locally or remotely via SNMP or in-band management.
The SFP modules must be ordered separately.
