The VRM-400 SFP Modem is an excellent upgrade for your enterprise or industrial applications. It is an integrated SFP bridge modem, an MSA-compatible plug-in module with compact dimensions that allows you to connect to traditional Ethernet switches, media converters and other network devices over more than the normal Ethernet range (100 meters).

Equipped with the latest VDSL2 technology, this SFP modem can be easily adapted to existing applications. The cost of additional cabling is eliminated because an existing two-wire cable, such as the telephone line, can be used for this purpose. The modem can extend the range of the Ethernet service over UTP wire up to 3000 meters. Even with a standard two-core Cat. 5e cable, a range of up to 400 meters is achieved with a transmission speed of 100 Mbps.

The SFP modem is designed with flexible profile settings for system integrators or users to adapt to their specific application and environment requirements. For normal Ethernet connections, the symmetric profile is suitable, while the asymmetric profile can be used for other services such as video streaming or IP surveillance services that require high data throughput in a unidirectional configuration.

The SFP modem also supports noise reduction techniques used by telecommunications companies, such as interleave, high-SNR profile, and retransmission, all of which provide effective noise reduction. This ensures secure transmission of your service and control commands in harsh environments.
