Coupling of up to 2,000 subnets and remote maintenance PCs
Scalable in sizes of 50 / 100 /500 or 2,000 users/subnets
Automatic backup of configuration to an external FTP server + hot standby
Web-based configuration interface
Monitoring via SNMP
In remote Internet maintenance, it is becoming increasingly important not only to address individual IP addresses “remotely”, but also to maintain entire IP subnets remotely.
This calls for complete solutions that can solve this task without external data services if possible. External data services always mean an interruption of VPN protection at the service provider’s gates. Running costs also have to be taken into account.
The VSS-01 solves this task completely autonomously. There is no VPN server or data service outside your company. Therefore a complete VPN protection between the end devices is guaranteed.
Internally, the VSS-01 consists of a configurable OpenVPN server running on a 19″ Linux server suitable for a control cabinet.
Up to 2,000 VPN tunnels can be established via OpenVPN. The remote maintenance subnets are realized by special routers, the remote maintenance PCs are common WIN-XP, WIN7 or Linux PCs.
All end devices work as OpenVPN clients on the VSS-01. Its main task is to mediate the VPN data stream so that the end devices can communicate with each other. Configurable access rights are observed in the process.
The following terminals can participate in the global subnet coupling of the VSS-01:
UMTS/3G/LTE router DSR-211-L,
DSL router DSR-211-N with DSL modem AM-200 B or AM-300
DSR-211-N with coupling to your existing DSL router,
Remote maintenance PC (WIN-XP, WIN7, Linux) equipped with OpenVPN GUI,
Industrial PCs (WIN-XP, WIN7, Linux) equipped with OpenVPN GUI,
third-party devices / routers equipped with OpenVPN (possibly after adaptation)
